What do you want? When you think about your life and all you have created and will create, what do you really hope to achieve? Are you looking for a better job, wanting to lose weight, get into that perfect school, or simply be happier than you are now? What is holding you back from achieving this new you?
Often, we think if we had more confidence, we could have gotten that next thing—job, relationship, or grade. Or maybe you think, "If only I had more motivation, I would do and be better." What is that one superpower you wish you had to reach your goal? Belief in yourself? It is part of believing that you can accomplish everything you set your mind to. When you step into who you were meant to be, everything else will follow.
Why do we keep wondering why we self-sabotage, when your unconscious mind is just trying to protect you? One day, after working with a client about why he was sabotaging himself in getting the job he wanted, he realized in a guided visualization that, had he gotten his dream job, he wouldn't have had as much time with his family, and he was afraid of losing them. When you can see through to the reasons why your unconscious is protecting you, you can then set goals that allow your unconscious and conscious mind to work together.
So, take a moment to understand what you truly want, recognize what's holding you back, and address the real reasons behind your self-sabotage. With this awareness, you can align your goals with your true desires and move forward confidently.
